Russia condemns Israeli airstrikes on Syria
The Russian Foreign Ministry condemned the Israeli airstrikes on Damascus.
On Sunday, the Russian Foreign Ministry condemned the Israeli brutal airstrikes on Damascus describing it as a flagrant violation of international law.
"We strongly condemn the use of brute force by Israel, which is a gross violation of international laws. We urge Israel to stop armed provocations against Syria and refrain from action that may have dangerous implications for the entire region," the ministry said.
The ministry added that the strikes on a residential area happened while Russia and other nations were deploying rescue teams, medical personnel, and humanitarian aid to Syria in the wake of the deadly earthquakes that shook the country early last week.

Just past midnight, the Syrian air defenses engaged Israeli air-to-surface missiles in the skies of Damascus. The Israeli attack targeted the Kafr Sousa area in Damascus, and the Tal al Masih area near the city of Shahba, north of As-Suwayda, according to Al Mayadeen correspondent. Syrian media reported 5 deaths and 10 injured.

Israeli attacks on Syria have been a recurring pattern as "Israel" has often justified this as attacks on military sites however the victims are often mostly civilians.
The last attack was on January 2, Two soldiers were killed and two others were wounded as a result of Israeli air aggression on Damascus International Airport and its surroundings.
