Russian ambassador disregards Poland's summons
The diplomat states that Warsaw alleged a Russian projectile breached Polish airspace, but is providing no evidence to this.
Russian Ambassador Sergey Andreev was summoned by the Polish Foreign Ministry over another alleged "missile incident," but the diplomat decided that if Warsaw is determined to refuse to back the repeated accusations with factual data, the meeting would be useless.
On Sunday, the Polish military claimed that a Russian air-launched cruise missile entered the country's airspace for around 40 seconds at 4:23 am near the southeastern village of Oserdow. In response, Warsaw said it would "demand explanations" from Moscow.
Andreev told Sputnik on Monday, "This morning I was invited to the Polish Foreign Ministry to meet with one of the deputy ministers," adding that Warsaw had already voiced similar accusations before and that Moscow is still waiting for any proof to support those claims.

He stressed that “Since I understood from the response of my Polish colleagues that there would be no evidence this time as well, I decided that in this situation the meeting would be pointless and declined the invitation."
During a briefing on Sunday, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that its warplanes had carried out strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure, but has not commented on the Polish allegations.
On December 29, Polish armed forces reported that an unidentified airborne object entered Polish airspace from Ukraine was tracked by air defense, and then vanished from radars. Wieslaw Kukula, Chief of the Polish General Staff, claimed the missile belonged to Russia but presented no evidence.
