Russian MoD: NATO arms depot destroyed in western Ukraine
Moscow says its forces destroyed a depot containing arms supplied by NATO in the Lvov region.
As Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky pushed his Western allies to ramp up arms deliveries to Ukraine, Russia announced Wednesday that its forces destroyed an arms depot for NATO weapons in Western Ukraine.
A statement released by the Russian Defense Ministry announced that high-precision long-range Kalibr missiles were used to destroy "an ammunition depot of foreign weapons transferred to Ukraine by NATO countries, including 155-mm M777 howitzers" in the Lvov region in western Ukraine.
Kiev stated on Tuesday that it received only 10% of the weapons it requested from the West. Meanwhile, Russia's forces have concentrated their firepower on the industrial hub of Severodonetsk.
Medvedev: Ukraine may not exist in two years
Earlier on Wednesday, Russia's former President Dmitry Medvedev, commented on a report that Ukraine is looking to receive LNG under a lend-lease agreement for delivery in two years.
"I saw a report that Ukraine wants to receive LNG (liquified natural gas) under a lend-lease agreement from its overseas masters with payment for delivery in two years," Medvedev, who is now deputy head of the Security Council, wrote on Telegram.
"And who said that in two yeas Ukraine will even exist on the world map?" he added.
