The surprises awaiting "Israel" will be harmful, warned the head of Yemen's Supreme Political Council, Mahdi al-Mashat, affirming that Yemeni missiles will reach their intended targets.
Al-Mashat made the remarks during a tour of Sanaa International Airport on Wednesday, where he inspected the damage caused by the Israeli aggression on the civilian facility, just 10 days after it resumed operations following a previous assault.
Al Mayadeen’s correspondent confirmed that several Israeli air raids struck the airport, and Yemeni sources shared that the airport's customs department was targeted in the strike.
Bunkers won't protect settlers, says al-Mashat
Addressing Israeli settlers, al-Mashat said, “The government of filthy Netanyahu will not be able to protect you.”
He underscored, “The Zionist herds must understand that Yemeni missiles are capable of reaching their targets, and bunkers will no longer be safe.”
Regarding the aftermath of the recent Israeli strike on the airport, al-Mashat asserted that alternative planes would be obtained and the airport would restore its operations.
The Yemeni leader reiterated that Sanaa will not back down from supporting Palestine until the Israeli aggression is halted and the siege imposed on the enclave is lifted, warning, “The Zionists should expect an eventful summer.”
Yemeni air defenses capable of dealing with F-35s
He also urged travelers around the world to avoid flights heading to "Israel's" Ben Gurion Airport, cautioning that "they are not safe and are at risk at any moment.”
Al-Mashat also revealed that Yemeni air defenses "are capable of dealing with F-35 jets,” pointing out that what had previously prevented them from doing so was the aircraft’s tactic of hiding near civilian aviation.
Earlier on Wednesday, Israeli warplanes launched airstrikes on Sanaa International Airport, targeting the customs building and a plane belonging to Yemenia Airways.
Al-Mashat says Israeli government can no longer protect settlers
Back on May 6, al-Mashat vowed that Sanaa's response to Israeli and US aggression would be "devastating and painful," and beyond what either party could withstand.
His remarks followed Israeli airstrikes targeting civilian infrastructure in Sanaa, including the airport, power stations, and factories.
"From now on, take shelter in your bunkers or leave our region immediately," al-Mashat warned the Israeli occupation.
