The Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) announced on Friday the successful execution of a missile strike targeting the Lod (Ben Gurion) Airport in occupied Yafa (Tel Aviv), in a direct response to the ongoing Israeli war on Gaza and its genocidal crimes.
Hypersonic missile “Palestine-2” used in targeted strike
Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesperson for the YAF, confirmed that the missile strike was carried out using a Palestine-2 hypersonic ballistic missile, stating that the operation “achieved its objective successfully.” He added that the strike caused widespread panic, forcing “millions of Zionist settlers to flee to shelters” and resulting in the disruption of airport activity.
Saree stressed that the operation was an act of solidarity with the Palestinian people and Resistance fighters in Gaza, saying it was carried out “in victory for the oppressed Palestinian people and their brave fighters” and as a direct response to the Israeli occupation’s “crime of genocide against our brothers in the Gaza Strip.”
Call for Arab and Islamic Support for Gaza
In his statement, Brigadier General Saree called on the Arab and Islamic nations to rise in support of Gaza, urging collective action to confront the humanitarian catastrophe unfolding under the Israeli blockade and continuous bombardment.
If you do not rise for your religion, then rise for your Arab identity. And if not for your Arab identity, then rise for your humanity.

Your turn will come sooner or later
He warned that the consequences of silence would not be limited to Gaza alone. “If the criminal enemy succeeds in executing its plan in Gaza, then your turn will come sooner or later,” he cautioned.
The operation marks a continued escalation in Yemen’s military engagement in support of Palestine, as part of its “moral and religious duty” to confront Israeli aggression.

Israeli media reports temporary closure of Ben Gurion Airport
The Israeli occupation army announced on Friday evening that it had detected a missile fired from Yemen, prompting air raid sirens to sound in Tel Aviv and occupied al-Quds.
Meanwhile, Israeli media reported that settlers in the Gush Dan region and al-Quds were immediately instructed to seek shelter, and Ben Gurion Airport was temporarily closed following the launch of the missile from Yemen.
In a similar incident a week earlier, Yemen's armed forces announced that they had targeted Ben Gurion Airport with a "Zulfiqar" missile in a precision operation that disrupted air traffic.
Brigadier General Saree, spokesperson for the YAF, emphasized that the military would continue broadening its support operations and enforcing the naval blockade until Israel's aggression on Gaza ceases.
On Tuesday, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, confirmed that their forces had successfully targeted a key Israeli military site in the occupied Naqab region via drone strikes.
Brigadier General Yahya Saree emphasized in a July 15 statement that these operations represent a continuation of Yemen's support for Gaza amid the Israeli war, affirming that military actions will continue without interruption until the aggression ceases and the siege on Palestinians is completely lifted.
Eilat Port shut down due to debts
The Israeli economic media outlet The Marker reported that the port of Eilat will completely cease operations starting next Sunday after the city municipality froze its bank accounts due to millions of shekels in accumulated debts.
This development comes as the port has faced near-total paralysis since November 2023, when Yemen imposed a naval blockade on ships heading to "Israel", leading to a sharp decline in revenue and a collapse in commercial activity at the facility.
The Eilat Municipality announced that it had frozen the port's bank accounts due to massive accumulated debts, and according to the Israeli economic outlet The Marker, all operations will come to a complete halt starting Sunday, signaling a total economic shutdown of the port.
The crisis at Eilat Port began when Yemeni forces imposed a naval blockade on ships heading to "Israel," prompting international shipping companies to avoid the Red Sea route, which brought the port's operations to a near standstill and caused a collapse in its revenue.
Earlier, Israeli business newspaper The Marker revealed that Eilat Port's revenues had plummeted by 80% in 2024 after ships stopped docking there due to Yemen's maritime blockade in the Red Sea, which was imposed in support of the Gaza Strip.
