Lebanese media reported on Friday that the Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon left for Riyadh in a hurry.
The reports quoted some sources saying that the ambassador's trip was "for deliberation," without providing further clarification.
Lebanese President Michel Aoun and PM Najib Mikati signed the decree to form the new government last Friday in the presence of Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, after a more-than-year-long hiatus in government formation.
The Mikati government pledged to perform the necessary reforms to save Lebanon, and stop the collapse it has been facing since the Beirut Port explosion on August 4, 2020.
