A statement from the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the Riyadh consultative meeting stressed the urgency of ending the war on Gaza and achieving an immediate ceasefire agreement.

The Ministry further expressed support for UNRWA, urging its supporters to fulfill their role in aiding humanitarian efforts.

The statement also underscored the significance of taking "irreversible steps to implement the two-state solution." It emphasized that the Gaza Strip is "an integral part of the Palestinian territories" while unequivocally rejecting forced displacement.

The consultative ministerial meeting addressing the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip commenced in Riyadh on Thursday evening. Participating in the meeting were the foreign ministers of Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia, alongside Hussein al-Sheikh, Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization.

Earlier, the Saudi Press Agency reported that Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan received a phone call from his American counterpart, Antony Blinken. During the call, they discussed developments in Gaza and efforts to address its repercussions.

Two days ago, Saudi Arabian newspaper Okaz stated that the statement released by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, "refuted all the claims promoted by Washington and "Tel Aviv" to serve their interests" regarding the Israeli-Saudi normalization of ties.

According to the Saudi newspaper, the US-Israeli leaks attempting to create an impression that the Kingdom is open to the idea of normalizing ties with "Israel" while it continues its aggression on the Gaza Strip are meant to influence Saudi Arabian efforts aiming for an immediate ceasefire.

The newspaper added that "'the Kingdom's statement cut the road short to any outbidding on the Kingdom's historical position, which is fixed and firm towards the Palestinian cause and its permanent support for the rights of the Palestinian people, strengthening their steadfastness and providing them with a decent life."
