Seven Israeli embassies were evacuated over fear of Iranian retaliation following the Israeli airstrike on the Iranian consulate in the Syrian capital Damascus, which led to the martyrdom of seven Iranian advisors earlier this week, the Israeli Yedioth Ahronoth news website reported on Thursday.

The website mentioned that the evacuated Israeli embassies include those in Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, and Turkey.

In a similar context, the military affairs commentator on the Israeli KAN channel, Itay Blumental, revealed that "Israel" has raised the alert level at Israeli embassies worldwide to the maximum and evacuated several missions in several countries after an assessment of the situation by the Shin Bet and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to Blumental, some Israeli representatives abroad have been relocated to alternative locations and have also been asked not to attend public events at the current stage.

The Israeli news portal Ynet had previously reported that the Israeli occupation government has given instructions to strengthen security measures at the Israeli embassies around the world following its airstrike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus.

"We ask you to continue to take preventive measures and pay more attention during routine operations," a statement sent to Israeli diplomats read, as quoted by the news portal.

A spokesperson for the Israeli occupation Foreign Ministry denied Israeli media reports, telling Sputnik on Thursday that "these publications are not true."

The Israeli Channel 12 also reported expectations that the Iranian response would come directly through launching missiles at Israeli targets.

Israeli media also revealed that Israeli authorities are disrupting the global navigation satellite system (GNSS) in occupied territories, hoping to weaken "enemy capabilities" ahead of an anticipated Iranian response to the Israeli aggression on the Iranian consulate.

The media mentioned that the Israeli military command has canceled the vacations of every soldier and officer enlisted in combat roles, in anticipation of the response.

In the same context, Israeli Channel 13 said on Wednesday that the Israeli occupation forces announced that they would recruit reservists from the Air Force in fear of Iranian retaliation.

After a security assessment, a spokesperson for the Israeli occupation forces confirmed that "the formations of the Air Defenses will be bolstered, including through recruiting reservists," the channel reported.

This comes as Iranian leader Sayyed Ali Khamenei vowed that Iran's men will "punish" the Israeli occupation following the assassination of IRGC advisors at the hands of the "usurping and despicable" Israeli occupation.

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi also stressed that "the Zionists must know that they will not achieve their goals" reaffirming that the "crime of attacking the consulate in Damascus will not go unanswered."
