Israeli massacre in Gaza's Nuseirat sparks international condemnation
EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell says that "reports from Gaza of another massacre of civilians are appalling."
The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned on Sunday the massacre committed by the Israeli occupation forces in the Nuseirat refugee camp, describing it as a "grave violation" of international humanitarian law.
The Ministry called on the international community and the United Nations to take immediate and decisive action to stop these massacres and attacks.
Similarly, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned and denounced the "heinous criminal act" carried out by Israeli occupation forces on the Nuseirat camp, asserting that the massacre is a "blatant violation" of international law and international humanitarian law.
The Ministry called on the international community and the Security Council to assume their responsibilities to put an end to "the barbaric aggression" against the Palestinian people.
On its part, the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs considered the ongoing systematic war crimes against Palestinians a violation of international conventions and international humanitarian law.
Ankara said it deplores "the Israeli attack on the Nuseirat refugee camp in Gaza, which has killed hundreds of Palestinian civilians."
"With this latest barbaric attack, Israel has added a new one to the list of war crimes it has committed in Gaza," the Turkish Foreign Ministry indicated.
I also called on "the institutions responsible for the maintenance of international peace and security, the United Nations Security Council in particular, to exercise their responsibility to put an end to the commission of these crimes by Israel, which is on trial before the International Court of Justice for violating its obligations under the 1948 Genocide Convention."
The Israeli occupation military said its forces retrieved four captives who were held by the Palestinian Resistance from the Nuseirat refugee camp. The Gaza Government Media Office confirmed that Israeli raids on the camp killed at least 210 Palestinians and wounded more than 400.
EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said that "reports from Gaza of another massacre of civilians are appalling."
"We condemn this in the strongest terms," he expressed in a post on X, underlining that "the bloodbath must end immediately."
Borrell also stressed that the three-phased plan laid out by US President Joe Biden last week "is the way forward for an enduring ceasefire and to end the killing."

In an earlier post, the top EU official said he shared the "relief" of the families of retrieved captives, calling for the release of the remaining ones.

The operation came days after an Israeli strike on the Nuseirat school run by the UN agency for Palestinian refugees, UNRWA, which had killed 37 people.
UNRWA condemned the Israeli strike on the facility, which it said had been housing 6,000 displaced people.
Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that Mahmoud Abbas, the President of the Palestinian Authority, urged the UN Security Council to hold an emergency session following the massacre that unfolded at the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.
'Israel' used captives to kill, starve Palestinians: UN expert
Commenting on the massacre, Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in the Occupied Territories, said "Israel" has used captives to legitimize killing, injuring, and starving Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
Relieved that four hostages have been released. It should not have come at the expense of at least 200 Palestinians, including children, killed and over 400 injured by Israel and allegedly foreign soldiers, while perfidiously hiding in an aid truck.

This is "humanitarian…
Albanese said she was "relieved" that four Israeli captives had been released but stressed that this "should not have come at the expense of at least 200 Palestinians, including children, killed and over 400 injured by Israel and allegedly foreign soldiers, while perfidiously hiding in an aid truck."
The UN expert wrote on her account on X that "Israel" has used its captives to "legitimize killing, injuring, maiming, starving and traumatizing Palestinians in Gaza. And while intensifying violence against Palestinians in the rest of the occupied territory and Israel."
She indicated that "Israel" could have retrieved all captives alive and intact eight months ago when the first ceasefire and prisoner exchange was put on the table. "Yet, Israel refused in order to continue to destroy Gaza and the Palestinians as a people."
