Shells fired on coalition base in Deir Ezzor, Syria
Al Mayadeen sources confirm the fall of rocket shells on the base of the international coalition
Al Mayadeen sources reported on Wednesday that rocket shells fell on the base of the international coalition in the Al-Omar field in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
The sources added that the missiles caused material damage to the base, putting the members of the coalition on alert, noting that there was an intense flight of warplanes and drones of the international coalition in the airspace of the region.
American reconnaissance planes bombed a number of sites in the areas controlled by the Syrian army in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, along with the targeting of the residential building of the international coalition base in the Al-Omar field, the largest base of the US occupation in Syria.
The targeting led to material losses, with no reports of casualties so far.
The attack comes after reports of the coalition evacuating a majority of its troops and equipment from the Al-Tanf base in Syria at the border triangle with Iraq and Jordan.
Earlier Wednesday, SANA news agency reported that an airdrop was carried out in the village of Dashisha in the southern Hasakah.
