Six Syrian auxiliary troops martyred in drone strike in Deir Ezzor
At least 20 Syrian auxiliary troops were killed or injured in a strike that targeted a military bus in Deir Ezzor.
Six auxiliary troops of the Syrian Arab Army were martyred and another 14 were injured in a drone strike that targeted a military caravan in eastern Syria's Deir Ezzor countryside on Sunday.
The vehicle was transporting soldiers near the town of al-Doueir, Sputnik reported.
In detail, according to the Russian news agency, the vehicle was transporting the soldiers to the city of al-Bukamal, near the Syrian-Iraqi border, where the Syrian Arab Army has set up several checkpoints to guard the area against infiltration attempts by ISIS and other terrorists.
This attack comes after local Arab tribes took control of several towns on the eastern bank of the Euphrates River in Deir Ezzor, liberating them from US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
The SDF have been shelling and attacking several towns in the governorate for several days, while American forces have also been deployed to assist the militants. These developments have also coincided with tensions in northeastern Syria, specifically in enclaves in the cities of Qamishli and al-Hasakah, where the SDF have sieged Syrian government administrative centers and infrastructure.

US mobilizes forces against Arab tribes' efforts
In the meantime, US occupation forces have mobilized in the al-Omar oil field and the Conoco base in the eastern and northern areas of the Deir Ezzor governorate.
Arab tribes have launched the attack on the US-backed SDF in hopes of "liberating all territories controlled by US-proxies," the leader of the Arab Tribes Forces, Ibrahim al-Hafal, stated.
The attacks are seen as a rejection of the US-imposed status quo in eastern and northeastern Syria by locals and natives.
Early on Sunday, an American military official told Al Mayadeen that a drone attack targeted the US occupation military base in Rmelan, Syria, yesterday, causing damage to the base. The official reported that several US and coalition forces were treated for minor injuries, with some undergoing post-traumatic brain injury assessments, while others were evacuated to a separate location for treatment.
The official confirmed that there were no serious injuries among the troops and that no group has claimed responsibility for the attack. Moreover, the official noted that military officials are still assessing the extent of the damage caused by the attack on the Rmelan base.
