Smallest action against Iran to be met with painful response: Raisi
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi reiterates warning against any action against his nation and support for Gaza, in a phone call with the Emir of Qatar.
Iran plans to respond to any aggression of any size and form against its assets and interests with severe, extensive, and painful action, President Ebrahim Raisi stated on Tuesday.
"As we have already officially announced, Operation True Promise was successfully carried out with the aim of punishing the aggressor. Now we firmly declare that the smallest action against Iran's interests will definitely be met with a severe, extensive, and painful response against all its perpetrators," he said in a phone call with the Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, where they discussed the current state and developments in the region.
Recalling the Israeli aggression on the Iranian consulate in Syria, Raisi slammed the United Nations and UN Security Council for their inaction and aversion to denounce the crime. As a result, Raisi noted that Iran exercised its right to retaliation and self-defense by carrying out Operation True Promise as per Article 51 of the United Nations Charter.
Raisi reiterated the necessity of ending the Israeli occupation's genocide in Gaza, blaming the United States and some Western governments for greenlighting "Israel's" crimes. He affirmed, however, that the people of Palestine and their Resistance have emerged victorious despite the brutal Israeli aggression.
According to the Iranian leader, Islamic nations need to unite, deter the Israeli occupation, and stop the genocide in Gaza. He noted that the West's unconditional support for "Israel" is one of the main contributors to tensions in the region.
On his part, the Qatari Emir said that Iran and Qatar have supported each other in all situations.
On the Israeli genocide in Gaza, Al Thani stated, "Today, we are witnessing the highest level of global and popular convergence in support of the Palestinian cause, and the Zionist regime is trying to divert the world's public opinion from its crimes in Gaza by making the situation tense."
He also praised the tact exhibited by the Islamic Republic of Iran in designing and implementing the response to the crime of the Zionist regime and considered it to contain a clear message for everyone.
Any Israeli response will be met with a harsher, stronger one: Raisi
On Sunday, following Iran's retaliatory operation, Raisi stated that the Iranian Armed Forces taught the Zionist enemy a lesson, stressing that a new reckless response from the enemy would be met with a harsher and stronger response.
He added that these operations carry a message of strength and power for the Islamic nations alongside another message of fear and humiliation for the "enemies of humanity," describing this measure as "smart and deliberate," as the Iranian drones and missiles targeted Israeli military bases which destabilize regional security and stability.
Raisi highlighted that over the past six months, and mainly in the last 10 days, Iran has used all regional and international means to warn the international community of the dangers of the ineffectiveness of the UN Security Council, which is under the influence of the US and the supporters of "Israel", over the occupation's repeated Israeli violations.
The Iranian President also said that his country considers "peace and stability" in the region essential for Iranian national security, stressing that Iran will not hesitate in making any effort to restore peace and stability to the region.
The Israeli occupation is the one threatening International peace and stability in the region through its continuous violations and crimes committed over the past six months, Raisi said, emphasizing that to restore peace and stability and end the occupation and terrorism in all its forms, "resistance" is the keyword.
