The Syrian Foreign Ministry condemned in the strongest terms the two "treacherous terrorist attacks" that targeted innocent people in the Iranian province of Kerman, on Wednesday.

The Foreign Ministry said, in its statement, that "this terrorist attack will not undermine Iran's resolve and determination to fight terrorism and stand by righteous causes."

Moreover, the statement affirmed "Damascus' full solidarity with Iran against the terrorist attacks and shameful plots against the country."

94 people were martyred yesterday as a result of the attack, however, thousands of citizens continued to flock towards the gravesite of the martyred IRGC General Qassem Soleimani in Kerman. People headed to the cemetery, where he was laid to rest in 2020, despite the attack, and in a clear statement gathered there later on Wednesday evening.

Sayyed Khamenei: Severe response awaits perpetrators of Kerman attack

In response to the killing of over 200 Iranians in a terror attack in Kerman, the leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei offered condolences to families of martyrs and vowed that the terrorists responsible for the attack would receive a severe response.

Commenting on the terrorist attack, Iranian Interior Minister Ahmed Vahidi said that the response to this "cowardly act will be decisive." Minister Vahidi said that the second bombing occurred as citizens were gathering to rescue the victims of the first bombing.

Vahidi said that the killing of children and women was a response to the slap the terrorists had received from the Axis of Resistance.

In a statement on Wednesday, Sayyed Khamenei expressed that the "wicked enemies" of Iran could not tolerate the reverence and love for General Qassem Soleimani and visits to his place of rest on the anniversary of his martyrdom.
