Syria: Residents of Hamu Block the Road to a US Convoy

The residents of Hamu in the southern countryside of Qamishli prevented a US convoy from entering their village located near the international M4 road that connects the city of Qamishli with the Iraqi border.
A local source confirmed to Al-Mayadeen that the residents had intercepted the US convoy made of 4 Humvees trying to encroach their village, which is controlled by the Syrian army.
The source pointed out that the people blocked the convoy's path, forcing it to change its course and preventing it from entering the areas controlled by the Syrian army in the Qamishli countryside.

In another context, Al-Mayadeen's correspondent in Syria reported a few days ago that the sites of armed groups affiliated with "Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham" were targeted by joint Syrian-Russian bombing in the city of Sarmada in the Idlib countryside.
On September 8th, the fronts of contact between the Syrian army and Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham witnessed a remarkable escalation of tension, in light of the shelling exchange on the fronts of the northern countryside of Hama and Idlib, all the way to the western countryside of Aleppo.
Last month, the US forces in Syria transferred dozens of ISIS members detained in the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) prisons in the Qamishli region to one of their bases in Al-Shaddadi, south of Hasaka.
