Syrian air defenses intercept Israeli aggression over Damascus

Syria's official state agency, SANA, reported that Israeli airstrikes have hit several sites in the vicinity of the Syrian capital Damascus, adding that the “Syrian air defenses have intercepted the missiles."
Al Mayadeen correspondent reported earlier that explosions were heard in southern Damascus, only to later confirm that Israeli missiles targeted certain sites south of the capital and near the International Airport road.
A Syrian security source confirmed that the hostile missiles were launched by Israeli warplanes from over the occupied territories, in an attempt to target some sites in the vicinity of the capital, Damascus.
A military source said that at about 00:30, the Israeli enemy carried out an air attack with bursts of missiles from the direction of the northeast of Tabarya Lake, targeting some points in the vicinity of the city of Damascus.
The source added that, that the attack claimed the lives of four Syrian Arab Army men, two soldiers were wounded and some material losses were recorded as a result.
On November 19, Israeli occupation carried out airborne aggression from over the Mediterranean Sea towards Banyas in the Golan Heights, hitting targets in the central and coastal regions.
Syrian air defenses intercepted the Israeli missiles, and Damascus announced that the aggression resulted in the deaths of 4 soldiers, in addition to the wounding of another, and material damage.
The aggression happened a week after Israeli aggression killed two Syrian army soldiers and wounded three others in the central Homs province.
In recent years, “Israel” has carried out hundreds of strikes in Syria, killing civilians and damaging property amid international silence.
