A military source also stated that around 9:33 p.m, the Israeli enemy carried out an airstrike from the direction of al-Tanaf with a rocket volley, targeting the T4 military airport in the central region. The attack was intercepted by air defenses and most rockets were shot down.
The source also noted that the attack resulted in the injury of 6 soldiers, in addition to material losses.
Hamas comments on the attack
Hamas Spokesperson Hazem Kassem said that the Zionist airstrike that targeted Syria tonight confirms once again that the Zionist entity's terrorism targets the entire region, describing its behavior as insolent and hooligan-like.
He added that this Zionist attack against the entire nation should be retaliated against simultaneously by all, in order to put an end to the terrorism of the Zionist occupation and prevent it from continuing its aggression, in a step toward the final aim of ejecting it from all Arab lands.
Syrian air defenses also intercepted an Israeli airstrike above the Damascus Countryside on September 3rd, shooting down most of the rockets.
They also intercepted another attack earlier in August above Damascus' western and Homs' southern countrysides in August, and another attack above the Dabaa Military Airbase in Homs' southwestern countryside on July 22nd, as Israeli jets violated Lebanese airspace above the Bekaa valley in the country's East to target Syria.
