Units of the Syrian Arab Army operating in the western countryside of Aleppo thwarted an attack on military positions by the terror organization, al-Turkestan al-Ghuraba Brigade, on Friday morning.

"Units of our armed forces operating in the western countryside of Aleppo inflicted heavy losses on terrorists and left them dead and wound seizing the bodies of several killed terrorists," the Syrian Minister of Defense said in a statement.

Photos circulating on social media show at least eight terrorists who tried to infiltrate the Syrian military's sites killed, although no official information of the final toll has been put out.

It is worth noting that the infiltration attempt by terrorists coincided with a number of aerial attacks launched by the Israeli occupation's military on Aleppo, as well as a drone attack launched by terrorist organizations from Idlib.

The Syrian Ministry of Defense reported that multiple attacks targeted several areas in Aleppo’s countryside, which led to the martyrdom and injury of several civilians and soldiers, in addition to material damage and losses in public and private property.

38 people, including five members of Hezbollah, were martyred in the attacks, Reuters reported, citing two security sources.

The attacks took place at about 1:45 am on Friday while the Israeli airstrike originated from Athriya, southeast of Aleppo Governorate.

Syria has been battling with non-stop Israeli and US aggressions, as well as terror attacks launched by multiple organizations in the northern and southern governorates of the country. Terror organizations have taken advantage of aerial strikes by launching their own surprise attacks on military points, finding little to no success.
