The coordination between the members of the Axis of Resistance on the political, defense, and security levels is unmatched, Iranian Supreme National Security Council Secretary Ali Akbar-Ahmadian said on Sunday.

Talking to Syrian Prime Minister Hussein Arnous during his visit to Tehran, Akbar-Ahmadian stressed the necessity of further economic coordination among the Axis.

The Iranian top official underscored that despite utmost support from the United States on numerous levels, the Israeli occupation is yet to achieve any of its declared goals of aggression on Gaza.

The aggression on Gaza showed that even if the US maintained a foothold in the region, it would not be able to impose any of its policies or diktats on the regional states.

"The front of Resistance stretching from Syria to Yemen will not allow for the implementation of any plans woven by the hegemonic regime," Arnous stressed.

The Syrian Prime Minister also revealed that his government and that of the Islamic Republic have been working around the clock to implement what has been agreed upon between them, "including making achievements that serve the interests of both states and peoples in light of the unjust external pressures and sanctions they are under."

Syria's Prime Minister landed in Tehran on Friday as the head of a senior delegation that oversaw the signing of several economic agreements between the two republics.

Syria aligns with Iran

During his stay in Tehran, Arnous met with Iran's First Vice President, Mohammad Mokhber, who said that the fury of the United States and the Israeli occupation stems from the disruption of their perceived dominance resulting from misconceptions in Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.

During his meeting with Syrian Prime Minister Hussein Arnous, Mokhber emphasized that the Iranian government and people have distinct perspectives on Syria, considering peace, independence, success, and prosperity for the Syrian people as their priorities.

Arnous referred to the Israeli atrocities and crimes taking place in Gaza these days, involving killings, destruction, and aggression against the Palestinian people, stating that the world is currently witnessing unprecedented events in history.

He further stressed that these are crimes against humanity, "Unfortunately, the international community does not show an appropriate response to these crimes."

Elsewhere in his remarks, he affirmed that the Israeli entity and the United States have failed to achieve their goals in Gaza, stressing that the Axis of Resistance has transformed into a robust force that adversaries are unable to overcome.

"Just as the terrorist organization ISIS, acting as US proxy, failed to achieve its goals due to the fierce resistance from the Syrian government and people, the Zionist entity will also be unable to control the region thanks to the resilient resistance of Gazans."

'Some want to erase Gaza from the world map'

On his part, the Syrian Prime Minister described the Israeli aggression on Gaza as shocking and beyond human imagination.

He found it extremely startling that such Israeli attacks are happening "before the eyes of the world".

It appears that some want to erase Gaza from the world map, but we hope that the Resistance axis collectively can eliminate these conspiracies."

In a related context, the Syrian Prime Minister described the relations between Iran and Syria as deep, strong, historical, and strategic, stating that the government and people of Syria will not forget the support and honorable stances from the government and the people of Iran.

Arnous emphasized that Iran and Syria, due to their pursuit of independence, always face extensive pressures from global arrogance, the United States, and Western countries.

He further added that Western countries always exert pressure on Syria as one of the fundamental pillars of the axis of resistance, affirming that the Syrian government and the Syrian people will not change their stances and will always move on the path of Resistance.

He emphasized that Syria aligns with Iran to strengthen the axis of Resistance, which will play a decisive role in the region.
