Tehran shocked by assassination of two prominent judges
Reports indicate that another judge and one of the bodyguards were also injured in the attack.
Two prominent judges were assassinated in a terrorist attack in Tehran on Saturday morning. The assault occurred outside the Supreme Court of Iran when an armed assailant deliberately targeted and attempted to assassinate the experienced Iranian judges.
Hujjatoleslam Razini and Hujjatoleslam Moghiseh were tragically killed in the attack. The assailant, after carrying out the deadly assault, took his own life.
Initial investigations reveal that the attacker had no criminal case with the Supreme Court or any of its branches. Reports indicate that another judge and one of the bodyguards were also injured during the attack.
An investigation is underway to identify and apprehend any other individuals involved in the attack
