Terrorists did not infiltrate city of Hama: SAA source
A Syrian Arab Army source updates Al Mayadeen on field developments in the Hama governorate, where the military and its allies continue to repel terror offensives.
Syrian-Russian fighter jets and artillery forces carried out focused and high-precision strikes on locations of terrorists, as well as their supply lines in the countryside of Hama.
According to a Syrian military source, these strikes resulted in the killing of dozens of terrorists and the destruction of their equipment and vehicles.
While the Syrian Arab Army holds its ground against terrorist groups in the Hama countryside, disinformation campaigns have been actively spreading false claims that armed groups have infiltrated the city.
A Syrian military source swiftly debunked these reports, which were circulating on terrorist-affiliated social media platforms and some news outlets. Several Arab media outlets perpetuated such disinformation, overstating clashes in Hama's countryside, which comes hand-in-hand with psychological warfare targeting Syria.
This comes after terrorist groups claimed on Tuesday that they had entered the al-Sawa’iq and al-Mazareb neighborhoods in Hama. Our sources said that such reports area part of a misleading "media war."
The source emphatically denied the allegations, confirming that no armed groups had breached the city's defenses or entered Hama from any direction.
The source also reiterated, as reported by the Syrian Ministry of Defense, that Syrian forces are stationed at their deployment sites, both near and far from Hama, in all directions, and are fully prepared to repel any potential attack.
In the same context, Al Mayadeen’s correspondent confirmed that no armed group had entered Hama’s neighborhoods, explaining that clashes are still ongoing to the northwest of the city.
Meanwhile, the Syrian Arab Army regained all the positions previously taken by the terrorists in the al-Sa'an area, north of Salamiyah. The army also thwarted an attack by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) militants on the town of al-Sa'an, according to our correspondent.
As "the countries supporting the armed groups have intensified their efforts on the ground," additional support from Syria’s allies in the Axis of Resistance is expected to arrive in the coming hours, as reported by Al Mayadeen’s correspondent.
The Syrian army has reportedly killed at least 300 militants, including foreign nationals, and has shot down and destroyed more than 25 attack drones. After successfully pushing the armed groups more than 20 kilometers away from Hama, Al Mayadeen’s correspondent reported that the Syrian army engaged militants near the Maharda Bridge and the towns of Khattab and Rahbat Khattab, to the northwest of Hama.
In the northeastern and northern parts of the Hama governorate, the Syrian army launched rocket and artillery strikes, as well as air raids, on terrorist positions, while closing with terrorists in the al-Mubarakat axis and repelling an assault in the al-Majdal axis.
It is worth noting that the armed groups are attempting to encircle Hama and reach Mount Zain al-Abidin on the city’s outskirts, to reach the higher ground overlooking Hama. The Syrian Arab Army maintains its positions in the area and continues to repel terror attacks.
