The Occupation Government Approves Ronen Bar as Head of "Shin Bet"
The Israeli occupation government confirmed Ronen Bar's nomination as the new head of the "Shabak", "Israel's" top security agency.
The Israeli occupation government approved the nomination of Ronen Bar as the new head of the "Shin Bet" on Monday, according to Israeli media.
Who is the new head of the "Shin Bet"?
Ronen Bar is 55 years old and lives in the "HaSharon" region. He previously served as the deputy head of the "Shin Bet" for three years.
He began his military service in the special unit of the Chief of Staff of the Occupation forces in 1983. He also served under Moshe Ya'alon. In 1987, he was released from the unit and "returned to civilian life".
Bar enlisted in the "Shin Bet" operations unit that operated in all the regions and carried out offensive operations. He subsequently assumed leadership duties.
After being appointed as the head of the operations branch, unit, and division, Bar was responsible for launching the operation of aggression against Gaza in 2012, which the occupation called "Operation Pillar of Defense."
After examining a letter received campaigning against the appointment of Bar, the Supreme Appointments Committee decided that "there is no defect in his character."
The term of the former head of the apparatus Nadav Argaman has been extended until the current month of October for the second time, as he was scheduled to end his duties at the end of last May, and his term was extended for the first time in April for four months by a decision issued by former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
