Thousands of Moroccans demand their government cut ties with 'Israel'
Moroccans take the streets of their capital Rabat in support of Gaza to protest the ongoing Israeli genocide.
Thousands of Moroccans protested in the capital Rabat on Sunday, expressing their rejection of the Israeli genocide in Gaza, and demanding their government cut ties with the occupation entity, which were established in 2020 under the normalization accords.
The angry marches came shortly before the Israeli occupation committed a series of massacres in Rafah early Monday, which saw the martyrdom of over 100 people.

Protesters raised banners in front of the parliament building with slogans saying "Stop the massacre", "Normalization is treason", and "No embassy, no ambassador".
The demonstration was organized by the Moroccan Front for Supporting Palestine and Against Normalisation, and the National Action Group for Palestine as the Israeli war on the besieged Strip passed the 4-month mark.
Moroccan people rejects normalization
The head of the Moroccan Observatory against Normalization, Ahmed Ouihman, said during the march that "the protesters represent the position of the Moroccan people who reject normalization and support Palestine."
He pointed out that "the Moroccan people have made their position clear, and those who do not agree with the Moroccan people's support for Palestine and rejection of normalization should look for another people [to govern]."

Many Moroccan cities have been witnessing regular protests in support of Palestinians and demanding the severance of relations with "Israel", especially with the escalation of the Israeli occupation's aggression on the Gaza Strip.
Last month, the National Group of Action for Palestine submitted a popular petition to demand Moroccan Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch to cancel the agreements normalizing relations with "Israel" and permanently close the Israeli liaison office in Rabat, as well as withdraw the Moroccan liaison office in "Tel Aviv".
