Thousands of settlers protest demanding ceasefire, prisoner swap
Former US Ambassador Dennis Ross, who had partaken in the demonstration, called for the release of Israeli captives in Gaza.
Thousands of Israeli settlers have taken to the streets of "Tel Aviv" this evening: calling for the release of Israeli captives from the Gaza Strip and for the resignation of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from his position.
The recurring demonstrations by settlers, held under the banner of "Bring back the captives now", have been demanding a ceasefire and a prisoner exchange deal.
Settlers raised signs that read "Stop the war" and "guilty" [referring to Netanyahu].
Former US Ambassador Dennis Ross, in a speech during the demonstration, called for the speedy release of Israeli captives from the Gaza Strip, pointing out that all Israeli settlers are in favor of the speedy release of the captives from Gaza.

Earlier this week, hundreds of settlers from the Israeli-occupied Palestinian north protested against the situation along the border with Lebanon, exclaiming that "the [occupation] government has lost the north".
Israeli media reported that settlers are pointing fingers at the Israeli government and its leadership saying "He who abandoned the South will not save the North".
Israeli settlers find themselves devoid of the much-promised Israeli occupation's security, reported Haaretz, as they confess, "We are all refugees" and that "This is where the line of lawlessness passes."
Channel 12 correspondent reported that the roads in the north remain closed, at all times, for fear of Hezbollah's rockets.
The correspondent underscored that the north is collapsing and that the daily routine of Israeli settlers there has become more complicated, stressing that the authorities there are very angry about the situation.
