Hundreds of Israeli settlers protest the situation in the north
Hundreds of settlers from the occupied Palestinian territories in the north are demonstrating in protest against the deteriorating security situation along the border Palestinian-Lebanese border.
Hundreds of settlers from the Israeli-occupied Palestinian north demonstrated in protest against the situation along the border with Lebanon, noting that "the government has lost the north," according to the Israeli news website Haaretz.
Israeli media reported settlers pointing fingers at the Israeli government and its leadership saying "He who abandoned the South will not save the North."
Israeli settlers find themselves devoid of the much-promised Israeli occupation's security, reported Haaretz, as they confess, "We are all refugees" and that "This is where the line of lawlessness passes."
In turn, the Israeli Channel 12 correspondent reported that the roads in the north remain closed, at all times, for fear of Hezbollah's rockets. The correspondent underscored that the north is collapsing and that the daily routine of Israeli settlers there has become more complicated, stressing that the authorities there are very angry about the situation.
4 Hezbollah operations enforce a shutdown in northern settlements
Mourning two of its fighters, the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah announced four operations, in which Israeli positions were targeted on Monday.
Kicking off with the usual introductory sentence, Hezbollah announced, "In support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in support of their brave and honorable resistance," Hezbollah fighters attacked at 10:35 am (local time) Israeli occupation soldiers positioned in the vicinity of the "Mattat" Barracks.
Later in the afternoon, the Lebanese Resistance faction targeted an Israeli base located near Moshav "Beit Hillel" in the center of the al-Jalil Panhandle, confirming direct hits.
Simultaneously, the Resistance launched a rocket attack on Israeli positions in the "Misgav Am" kibbutz, opposite the Lebanese town of Odeisseh. The Resistance said its fighters carried out its operation in response to "Israel's" targeting of civilians in Lebanese territories.
Soon after, the Resistance accurately targeted a grouping of occupation soldiers in the vicinity of the Birket Risha military site.
Earlier, the "Kiryat Shmona" municipality released a statement in which it announced the complete closure of several settlements alongside the Lebanese-Palestinian border.
The municipality's spokesperson told settlers that all entrances toward "Kiryat Shmona" will be closed for the entry of vehicles on Monday, December 25, until further notice.
The spokesperson said the decision comes in light of a recent security assessment "that had just been completed."
The Israeli official said the decision will also encompass settlers in "Snir", "Dan", "Dafna", "Maayan Baruch", "Kfar Yuval", "Kfar Giladi", "Gosherim", "Beit Hillel", and "Metulla" in the occupied al-Jalil Panhandle. Moreover, kibbutzim and moshavs across from the coast of northern occupied Palestine to the furthermost settlement in al-Jalil have also been closed off to Israeli settlers.
This includes, "Margaliot", "Menara", "Yiftah", "Ramot Naftali", "Dishon", and "Avivim", among other settlements and areas.
"Please do not go to these places," the statement concluded.
