Tulkarm Brigade confronts IOF as they target Nur Shams Camp
The Israeli occupation forces raided Tulkarm and Nur Shams Camp in the West Bank at dawn today, and were confronted by al-Quds Brigades.
The al-Quds Brigades - Tulkarm Brigade announced today that its freedom fighters confronted Israeli occupation forces invading the Nur Shams refugee camp with bullets and explosive devices.
It added that its freedom fighters detonated with a high explosive device an IOF bulldozer raiding Nur Shams Camp while also confronting the IOF with machine guns.
Israeli occupation forces attack Tulkarm
At dawn today, the Israeli occupation forces raided Tulkarm and Nur Shams Camp in the West Bank.
As reported by Palestinian media, a huge number of IOF troops raided Tulkram from its western side with four bulldozers heading towards al-Alaimi Roundabout, al-Younis Rounaabaout, and al-Sikka Street.
IOF bulldozers bulldozed the Aktaba Roundabout, east of Tulkarm, shutting it down and destroying its area adding that the IOF opened random fire on al-Younis Roundabout, east of Tulkram and assaulted journalists.
In addition, the IOF bulldozed Martyr Saif Abu Lebda roundabout, which is the western entrance to Nur Shams Camp, east of Tulkarm. The IOF also destroyed several public properties in the area, one of which was a gate to a tile factory.
The Israeli occupation forces stormed neighborhoods and alleys in the camp triggering confrontations mainly in the neighborhoods of al-Damaj, al-Manshiyya, and al-Maslakh as explosions were heard.
Local sources stated that the Israeli occupation forces opened fire intensely on the camp's alleyways specifically targeting the homes of Palestinians.
The IOF also opened fire on an ambulance belonging to the Palestinian Red Cresent Society in the camp hitting it from the side.
They further raided the houses of the Al-Khouli family in Aktaba, east of Tulkarm, vandalizing them and interrogating the family members.
A bad day for the IOF
Seven Israeli soldiers were injured in a Resistance operation near the settlement of "Homesh" in the northern occupied West Bank, Israeli news website Ynet reported on March 8.
Resistance fighters opened fire on a group of Israeli soldiers and targeted them with improvised explosive devices, injuring at least seven, who were transferred to the "Beilinson" hospital in 48' occupied territories via an evacuation helicopter.
Later that day, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad's al-Quds Brigades - Jenin Brigade announced its responsibility for the well-executed attack.
According to reports, Palestinian Resistance fighters opened fire on an Israeli military site near "Homesh" luring a force that was investigating the incident to Silat al-Dahr town, which is located on the road that connects Jenin to "Homesh". When the force arrived at the previously designated area, an explosive device was detonated by the Resistance fighters, causing casualties among occupation troops.
Israeli media outlets highlighted the "pre-planned" operation as "extremely dangerous", pointing to the fact that those who carried out the operation remain at large.
Palestinian sources also revealed that Palestinian Resistance fighters attacked two military points and an illegal settlement in the West Bank just after the operation was conducted in "Homesh".
