The al-Quds Brigades - Tulkarm Brigade announced Sunday that its Resistance fighters targeted an Israeli occupation force with a Ghaith 5 explosive device at the entrance to the town of Deir al-Ghusun, north of Tulkarm Governorate in the occupied West Bank, confirming fatal injuries among the occupation soldiers.

Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces detained eight Palestinian civilians and assaulted them in the occupied city of al-Khalil. They also raided the villages of al-Nabi Saleh northwest of Ramallah and Jalboun east of Jenin.

Security sources told the Palestinian News Agency WAFA that Israeli occupation forces raided Jalboun, set up a military checkpoint at the entrance to the village, and obstructed the movement of citizens after detaining a Palestinian youth, leading to the outbreak of confrontations.

The sources added that the Israeli occupation forces also raided the villages of Beit Qad, Faqqua, Deir Ghazale, Arana, and Arabbuna, carrying out search campaigns and patrolling military vehicles in the streets of the villages, while setting up mobile checkpoints with no arrests reported.

In 141 days, 'Israel' detains 7,210 Palestinians in West Bank, al-Quds

Earlier, the Palestinian Detainees and ex-Detainees Affairs Commission and the Palestinian Prisoners Society reported that the Israeli occupation forces detained 22 Palestinians from the occupied West Bank between Friday and Saturday. The detainees included journalist Sami al-Saei, two children, and former detainees.

The report emphasized that the arrest operations were primarily concentrated in Beit Lahm in the southern part of the West Bank, with additional arrests taking place across al-Khalil, Ramallah, Tulkarm, Nablus, and occupied al-Quds.

It also revealed that the Israeli arrest campaigns were accompanied by widespread acts of harassment, brutal beatings, and threats against the detainees and their families. Furthermore, there were extensive incidents of destruction and sabotage in the homes of Palestinian citizens.

As of October 7, 2023, the total number of Israeli arrests against Palestinians in various areas of the West Bank and occupied al-Quds has reached approximately 7,210 detainees. This figure encompasses those apprehended from their homes, at military checkpoints, individuals who surrendered under pressure, and those taken hostage.
