US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard said the American intelligence community has been infiltrated by entrenched deep state actors who inject political bias into intelligence products.
Speaking to FOX Business, Gabbard said these groups have formed “pockets” within US intelligence agencies, undermining their mission.
“There were a lot of pockets where the Deep State actors were very entrenched and were politicizing their centers or their positions, either against the American people... or creating intelligence products and inserting their own partisan political opinions and views,” she stated.
Gabbard warned that some officials act as if their personal views outweigh the US Constitution and the authority of elected leaders, including the president.

“These are dangerous people because they believe their views and opinions supersede the US Constitution that they all swear an oath to uphold,” she said.
She argued that the intelligence community has drifted far from its core mandate, saying, “The mandate the intelligence community has is to find the truth and to tell the truth.”
Stripping security clearances from officials
Earlier this week, Gabbard revoked security clearances from 37 current and former intelligence officials, accusing them of politicizing intelligence.
“This is the first step to aggressively get after our core national security mission, root out those deep state actors,” she explained.
Those stripped of clearance include former NSA deputy director Richard Ledgett, former assistant secretary of state for intelligence Brett Holmgren, and former principal deputy DNI Stephanie O’Sullivan
Call for transparency, accountability
Gabbard emphasized that only transparency can bring accountability to the US intelligence community and ensure lasting reform.
“Only with sufficient transparency can we see actual accountability and real change,” she said.
