This marks the fifth drone attack carried out by the Turkish military in the last 15 days on the borders of Sulaymaniyah in northeastern Iraq.
Earlier on Friday, Iraqi Kurdish officials confirmed that a Turkish drone strike in Sulaimaniyah targeted a vehicle of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).

On July 23, the Iraqi government sent a letter to the United Nations Security Council on Sunday saying that Baghdad documented more than 22,740 violations committed by the Turkish armed forces.
"Turkey has expansionist goals behind the aggressions it is committing, and there will be no security nor military accord with Ankara," the Iraqi Foreign Ministry said. "Baghdad's letter included a demand for an apology from the Turkish side to Iraq and its people."
"Baghdad expects the United Nations Security Council to issue a statement denouncing the Turkish violation of Iraq's sovereignty," the Foreign Ministry's statement said.
The Iraqi Foreign Ministry revealed on Saturday that "the Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent a letter of complaint to the Security Council and requested it to hold an emergency session to discuss the Turkish aggression."
The tensions also saw at least six Turkish soldiers killed in clashes with PKK in northern Iraq, the Turkish Ministry of Defense announced on Thursday.
