In a statement by Turkish President Recep Erdogan early on Wednesday, he described "Israel's" crimes as "occupier terrorism" constituting "genocide".
In a direct quote, Erdogan said, "We [country officials] must compel Israel to comply with international law and be held accountable for its actions. We should also break the blockade in the UN," and declared that "everyone, including foreign officials" wants Netanyahu gone.
He goes on to criticize politicians who have chosen to ignore the genocide in Gaza and warned them against the "democratic response of the people" as the public conscience has been shifted in favor of Palestine.
The Turkish president also condemned Western societies' stance on the genocide, insinuating that they stand on the wrong side of history once again, after recovering from their Nazi-sympathetic past, he said.
Turkey files lawsuit in ICC
When discussing the possibility of ending the siege on Gaza, Erdogan directed responsibility to members of the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
Turkey has filed a lawsuit against "Israel" with the International Criminal Court (ICC) as a result of the genocide being executed in Gaza, cutting contact with Netanyahu, though not with "Israel".
Turkey is also a diplomatic member of the Gaza contact group that has been taking part in negotiations with UN permanent members, and advocating for a peaceful resolution in Gaza and all of Palestine.
