Three Turkish soldiers were killed and several others wounded on Friday, in an explosion targeting a Turkish convoy north of Idlib.

Helicopters entered to evacuate the dead and wounded towards Turkish territory.

During the year, the Turkish army has carried out numerous targeting operations in the Idlib and Aleppo countrysides.

Earlier this year, an unknown brigade referring to themselves as the "Ansar Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq" carried out operations targeting the Turkish army's deployment points. It first announcing its presence in 2019, claiming independence and denying its association with any organization or faction in Idlib.

Activists noted that the military convoy was heading to Bab al-Hawa crossing on the road to Kafriya, which is witnessing tension between families residing in the town and the Turkistan Islamic Party due to the latter's evacuation orders.
