A shooting operation by a Palestinian in the occupied West Bank leaves two Israeli occupation soldiers injured with one in a serous condition.
Two Israeli occupation soldiers were injured, one in a serious condition, as a result of a shooting operation near the "Gush Etzion" settlement north of al-Khalil, southern occupied West Bank.
Israeli media reported that the Palestinian who had carried out the operation and was later killed was Ziyad Hamran (30 years old) from Jenin.
In a later statement, the Jenin Brigade of al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine, mourned the "Shin Bet Hunter", Ziyad Farhan Hamran, who carried out the operation
Further reports have revealed that the operation targeted members of the "Shin Bet", otherwise known as the "Shabak", the internal intelligence agency of the Israeli occupation, hence the title attributed to martyr Hamran, the "Shin Bit Hunter."
Retaliatory operations carried out by Palestinian youths in the West Bank only heightened the anxiety of the occupation authorities, who anticipated an escalation of operations during the month of Ramadan.
Israeli Minister of Security, Yoav Gallant, warned of a potential security crisis during the blessed month, coinciding with calls to participate in the "Ramadan Flood" in solidarity with the Gaza Strip.

Initially, the occupation forces instructed the Israeli settlers to remain indoors. Later, it was reported that the Palestinian Resistance, Shiekh Mahmoud Nawfal, Imam of al-Qasim mosque in al-Khalil, was killed during the confrontations.
This comes after al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades - Al-Khalil confirmed, on March 14, that its Resistance fighters targeted the Israeli "Gush Etzion" settlement north of al-Khalil with machine guns, before withdrawing safely.
Al Mayadeen's sources reported at the time that Palestinian Resistance fighters engaged Israeli occupation forces with a powerful homemade explosive device and opened fire on the raiding forces in the old town of Nablus in the occupied West Bank.
