Two Israeli soldiers wounded in drive-by shooting operation in Huwara
Israeli media say the Palestinian who carried out the operation fired from a passing vehicle before withdrawing intact.
Israeli media reported on Saturday that two Israeli occupation soldiers were wounded in a drive-by shooting operation in the town of Huwara, south of Nablus -- the third in recent weeks.
The media said that the Palestinian who carried out the operation fired from a passing vehicle before withdrawing and fleeing the scene intact.
Social media users circulated footage of Israeli ambulances transporting the wounded to the hospital.
According to Israeli media, Israeli occupation forces were on high alert fearing settlers' attacks following the operation.

Palestinian reports said Israeli occupation forces stormed the town of Beita shortly after the operation, resulting in confrontations with the Palestinians.
In addition, the occupation forces stormed the towns surrounding Nablus and closed all entrances to the city in search of the Palestinian who carried out the operation.
Later, martyr Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, the military wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), claimed responsibility for the operation.

On Sunday, Israeli media reported that an Israeli car was targeted with gunshots in Huwara, adding that there were casualties as a result.
According to The Times of "Israel", an illegal Israeli settler was seriously wounded in the shooting attack, while another was slightly injured.
The Jerusalem Post said the Palestinian who carried the operation "was shot and apprehended by Israeli forces shortly after the attack. He is currently in serious condition."

The recent operation comes a couple of weeks after two illegal Israeli settlers were killed in a shooting operation also in Huwara.
On February 7, Al Mayadeen correspondent in the West Bank confirmed that Israeli occupation forces killed Abd Al-Fattah Kharrousha, accused of carrying out the operation, during the storming of the Jenin refugee camp.
It is noteworthy that Israeli occupation Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich called on "Isreal" to "wipe out" Huwara after illegal Israeli settlers rampaged through the city, murdering one Palestinian and burning Palestinian cars, homes, and businesses to the ground.
