Two individuals were martyred and a third injured on Thursday following a series of assaults carried out by the Israeli occupation on towns across southern Lebanon, according to Al Mayadeen’s correspondent.
One martyr was shot dead by Israeli occupation forces in the town of Kfar Kila, while a second, a municipal worker from Nabatieh al-Fawqa, was killed in a drone strike that targeted the outskirts of the town.
Additionally, a civilian was wounded in the town of Beit Lif in the Bint Jbeil district after an Israeli reconnaissance drone dropped a stun grenade in the area.
Elsewhere, Israeli artillery bombarded the outskirts of al-Wazzani and al-Salihani, located between Ramya and Beit Lif, following another stun grenade dropped by a drone over Ramya’s airspace.
Intensive airstrikes on southern, eastern Lebanon
According to Al Mayadeen’s correspondents, one of the strikes targeted the area between the towns of Sajad and al-Rihan in southern Lebanon. Simultaneously, a wave of Israeli airstrikes struck Wadi Burghuz, al-Mahmoudiyah, and the Jabbour Heights in the western Beqaa region.
In a separate attack, an Israeli airstrike targeted the area of Tibna near the town of al-Baissariya, as reported by Al Mayadeen’s southern Lebanon bureau.
Further south, Israeli warplanes bombed the outskirts of the town of Kfar Fila.
Overnight, Israeli aircraft carried out two airstrikes targeting the town of Shmustar in western Baalbek District, according to Al Mayadeen’s correspondent in Lebanon’s Bekaa region.
'Israel' continues to violate Lebanon's sovereignty
Israeli occupation troops stationed at the Roueissat al-Alam military outpost also fired machine guns for the second time today toward the outskirts of Kfar Chouba.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese Army, in coordination with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), removed earth mounds erected by Israeli occupation forces on the outskirts of the town of Adaisseh - Marjayoun, reopening obstructed routes. An enemy force, backed by a tank, attempted to block the Lebanese soldiers but failed to stop the operation.
In a related development, the Lebanese Army reinforced its positions near the site of a recent Israeli incursion east of the town of Blida.
Israeli soldiers breach Lebanese territory
An Israeli occupation forces infantry unit crossed into Lebanese territory late Wednesday night, penetrating the Bir Shuaib area in the town of Blida in southern Lebanon, an Al Mayadeen correspondent reported on Wednesday.
The incursion force reportedly included two tanks, a bulldozer, and several infantry troops, and it advanced beyond the so-called "technical fence", a de facto separation line used by the Israeli occupation.
In response, a unit of the Lebanese Army swiftly deployed to the eastern perimeter of Blida, where the incursion occurred, in a move aimed at containing the violation and asserting Lebanese territorial sovereignty.
This latest breach follows a similar incident on Monday night, when an "Israeli" infantry force infiltrated residential areas in the southern town of Mays al-Jabal, stationing between civilian homes before withdrawing later under pressure.
Mounting violations
"Israel" continues its near-daily violations across southern Lebanon, the Bekaa region, and the southern suburbs of Beirut, defying the ceasefire agreement that has been in place since November 27, 2024.
