Two missing Navy Seals declared deceased: CENTCOM
The US Central Command declares that the status of the two missing marines on the coast of Somalia has been changed to deceased.
The US Central Command announced that “our two missing US Navy SEALs have not been located and their status has been changed to deceased."
In a statement on X, the Central Command added that "the search and rescue operation for the two Navy SEALs reported missing during the boarding of an illicit dhow carrying Iranian advanced conventional weapons Jan. 11 concluded and we are now conducting recovery operations."

Earlier on January 14, the Washington Post quoted US officials as saying that two US Navy sailors who went missing off the coast of Somalia reportedly fell into the water while attempting to board a ship in the Gulf of Aden.
The US-Yemeni conflict began after the Yemeni Armed Forces announced their commitment to preventing Israeli ships or ships heading to Israeli ports from navigating in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea.
