Two Syrian youths shot dead by security forces in Damascus: SOHR
Syrian security forces kill two Syrian youths under mysterious circumstances following raids on each of their homes in Damascus.

Two Syrian youths were killed by Syrian security force members' gunfire in Damascus and its countryside, in two separate incidents, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights on Thursday.
According to the report, a young man was shot dead by a security patrol during a raid on his home in al-Rawda village, located in the al-Zabadani area of rural Damascus, late Wednesday night into Thursday. The young man was shot as he tried to escape, killing him instantly. The reasons behind the shooting remain unclear.
In a separate but similar incident, a second youth was killed yesterday after security forces opened fire in Damascus’ Rukn al-Din district, with the observatory stating that the exact circumstances are still unconfirmed. The youth, who remains unidentified, comes from the village of Maaraba in Daraa.
According to the observatory’s tally, 884 people have been killed in different Syrian provinces since the start of 2025, comprising 838 men, 30 women, and 16 children.
