Two US bases in Iraq under Resistance fire
Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Syria reported on Thursday that US occupation forces have bombed areas along the contact lines with the Syrian army and allied forces northeast of Deir Ezzor, Eastern Syria.
Sources have informed Al Mayadeen that the American base at Erbil airport as well as the Ain al-Assad base in Iraq are being targeted by Iraq's resistance.
On Wednesday, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced it targeted the US bases of Ain al-Assad and al-Shadadi in Iraq and Syria respectively, using appropriate weaponry.
Islamic Resistance in Iraq said the 4 attacks on two American occupation bases came at different times and achieved direct hits on targets.
A spokesman for the Iraqi Hezbollah Brigades told Al Mayadeen that The Islamic Resistance in Iraq is monitoring the enemy’s behavior so that it can act accordingly.
In a statement on Wednesday, the group emphasized that the operations against the two bases come in response to the crimes committed by the Israeli occupation against the people of Gaza, as the brutal aggression on the Strip continues for the 46th consecutive day.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Syria reported on Thursday that US occupation forces have targeted areas along the contact lines with the Syrian army and allied forces northeast of Deir Ezzor, Eastern Syria.
According to the correspondent, the bombs were fired from the US occupation bases in the Conoco gas plant and did not result in casualties, noting that the damage was dealt to material objects and infrastructures in the area.
General of the al-Nujaba Movement in Iraq, Sheikh Akram al-Kaabi affirmed that it was the "duty" of everyone to “declare war on the United States and humiliate it into withdrawing from Iraq."
Broken deterrence
While the Americans increased their threats against targeting their bases, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq not only continued to attack US military presence but also expanded its operations to target Israeli military sites in occupied Palestine.
Earlier this month, the Resistance group announced that it attacked a vital target for the Israeli occupation on the coast of the Dead Sea.
In a statement, the Iraqi factions said the operation came in response to the massacres committed by the Israeli occupation against Palestinian civilians, including children, women, and the elderly, confirming that it would continue to "strike the enemy's strongholds" until the Israeli aggression on Gaza stops.
The Iraqi resistance continues to target US bases in Syria and Iraq, including Ain al-Assad, Al-Tanf, Al-Harir, Koniko field, Al-Omar oil field, and Kharbat Al-Jir, amidst the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, an aggression supported by the US.
A few days ago, Al Mayadeen sources revealed that the US is channeling more forces in Syria due to concerns about resistance strikes, confirming that Washington is bringing in more reinforcements for defensive weapons and equipment. The sources added that Washington is experiencing unprecedented confusion regarding the actions of the Iraqi resistance which are in line with Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.
