The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced Sunday that two individuals, including a Lebanese Army soldier, were injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting a civilian vehicle on the road between Beit Yahoun and the Bint Jbeil district in southern Lebanon.
This attack marks yet another breach of Lebanese sovereignty amid a series of ongoing Israeli violations.
According to local sources, Israeli warplanes continued to violate Lebanese airspace, flying at low altitude over the Bekaa Valley. Additionally, occupation forces carried out an incursion near the separation wall southeast of the town of Meiss El Jabal.
In a related incident early Sunday, an Israeli reconnaissance drone dropped three stun grenades in the vicinity of a destroyed home in the town of Kfarkela.
Repeated violations of ceasefire
These acts form part of the Israeli occupation’s continued breaches of the ceasefire agreement signed on November 27, 2024.
Violations include repeated bombings of southern Lebanese and Bekaa villages, attacks near the southern suburbs of Beirut, and the ongoing occupation of five disputed points along the southern border.
On Saturday, an Israeli airstrike targeted a vehicle near the Abu al-Aswad area in the Tyre area, resulting in the martyrdom of one Lebanese citizen, Al Mayadeen's correspondent in South Lebanon reported on Saturday, as confirmed by Lebanon’s Ministry of Health.
In the early hours of Saturday, Israeli warplanes struck a prefabricated room and a hangar in the town of Ayta al-Shaab. Shortly afterward, another airstrike targeted a civilian tractor in the town of al-Dhayrah, both in southern Lebanon.
In a separate act, an Israeli aircraft dropped a stun grenade near a group of fishermen in the coastal town of Naqoura, further escalating tensions.
Earlier acts of aggression
On May 14, an Israeli drone launched two missiles at a car on Wednesday morning at the entrance of Wadi al-Hujayr in the vicinity of the town of Qaqaiyat al-Jisr in the Nabatieh district, causing it to catch fire.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced on May 8 that one person was martyred and eight others were injured as a result of Israeli airstrikes on Nabatieh.
Earlier the same morning, Israeli warplanes unleashed a wave of strikes on southern Lebanon, striking the Nabatieh district with over 20 air raids. Our correspondent reported that the Israeli fire barrage targeted Nabatieh al-Fawqa, Kfar Tebnit, and Kfarrouman.
