Rear Admiral Edward Ahlgren, the Royal Navy's Commander Operations, stated in a post on X that no one was injured, although minor damage was sustained.
A statement from Rear Admiral Edward Ahlgren OBE, Commander Operations "I am aware of a recent incident that took place between two minehunters in Bahrain Harbour. First of all I would like to stress that thankfully nobody was hurt in the collision, but some damage was sustained.

"I assure you that a full and thorough investigation is already under way and any changes in procedure that could prevent further incidents will be rapidly implemented," Ahlgren stated.
At the end of November, the British government announced that it dispatched the Royal Navy ship HMS Diamond under the pretext of "reinforcing regional security" in the Gulf and the Indian Ocean.
The UK Navy is also collaborating with the US in Operation Prosperity Guardian aimed at deterring Yemeni Armed Forces from conducting attacks on commercial ships bound for "Israel".
Ahlgren vowed that the UK would continue to "play a key part in ensuring the safety of merchant shipping in the region."
The recent American-British aggression on Hodeidah has confirmed the two countries' "shared desire to escalate and expand the conflict" in the region, a Yemeni official told Al Mayadeen on Saturday.
The Yemeni official expressed deep concern over the sustained aggression by the United States and Britain on Yemen, coupled with their ongoing militarization of the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab, emphasizing that these actions pose a "real and serious threat to international navigation."
Importantly, the official told Al Mayadeen that Yemen's response to ongoing US-UK violations "is imminent," as the official underscored a steadfast belief that the American-British aggression is "doomed to fail."
