A number of Ukrainian mercenaries were killed in the center of Gaza by the Resistance earlier this month, the Quds New Network revealed on Thursday, citing sources.
At least seven foreign fighters were killed in an ambush set by the Al-Qassam Brigades on December 14, while fighting alongside Israeli occupation forces in the Shujaiya neighborhood, the Palestinian outlet said.
The presence of foreign troops fighting the people of Gaza was addressed last week by Hamas' al-Qassam Brigades spokesperson Abu Obeida. In a speech, he said that fighters of the group have reported suspicions that the Israeli occupation's army is employing mercenaries in its aggression on the Strip.

According to the outlet's sources, the IOF "did not include the Ukrainian casualties in the numbers it acknowledges regarding its soldiers' losses in Gaza," sources continued, pointing out that the ambush also killed Israeli soldiers.
Ukrainians recorded footage
Footage showing the Ukrainian mercenaries in one of the Shujaiya schools with Israeli forces circulated on social media. The video showed that the troops were the ones recording.
The sources confirmed that the video was taken on the same day of the ambush.

This comes as the Resistance continues to confront Israeli invading forces across the Strip's axes, while Israeli top officials are expressing the difficulty of the battle and complexities of achieving the declared objectives due to the Resistance's steadfastness on all frontlines.
Resistance fighters are also inflicting heavy losses on the invading army, which is evident by the amount of footage released by Resistance factions, and Israeli media reports.
Despite the occupation's claims and objectives to "eradicate" the Resistance, ground developments are revealing that this is not the case, with no signs that this will change shortly.
