Ukrainian special services training terrorists in Syria: Military rep.
Observations prove that Ukrainian instructors have been present in Syria, as patterns related to drone launches by the Ukrainian military and Syrian terrorist groups emerge as eerily similar.
A representative from a private military firm studying drones in Syria confirmed to RIA Novosti that terrorists in Syria have been trained by Ukrainian instructors.
The representatives drew parallels to observations made during his time in Ukraine to those in Syria, confirming with "absolute certainty" that Ukrainian instructors have been training Syrian terrorists, whose insurgence was recently reactivated.
"I was in the zone of the special military operation [in Ukraine] and saw how UAVs work there. Now that I am here, I see that the militants are using the same tactics as the Ukrainians," he stated.
Based on his observations, the representative suggested that Ukrainian special services were present in the Idlib de-escalation zone.
He further noted that the terrorists have been deploying Kamikaze drones at night, indicating that the UAVs are now equipped with night vision or thermal imaging cameras, a tactic commonly used by Ukrainian forces against the Russian Armed Forces.
"The most interesting thing is that each [drone] sample has writings in English, which is not typical for militants of Arab origin," he also highlighted.
Glaring Ukrainian involvement in Syria
In this context, multiple sources have confirmed direct Ukrainian involvement with Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham (formerly known as al-Nusra Front), a group classified as a terrorist organization, in ongoing battles against the Syrian army across the fronts of Aleppo, Hama, and Idlib.
Photos circulating on social media show Ukrainian fighters on the frontlines in Aleppo and Hama, with some images depicting military operations and reconnaissance missions.

Preliminary reports indicate that the Ukrainian units operating in Syria are part of the White Wolf group, which is affiliated with Ukraine's Security Service (SBU). This specialized unit is known for its expertise in developing and deploying unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), playing a key role in striking Russian forces with drones on the Ukrainian front.
The unit reportedly controls the full range of drone weapons systems.

Equipped with advanced reconnaissance technologies, the unit’s operations begin with gathering intelligence on targets before launching precise attacks, often in coordination with sniper teams.
The photos of Ukrainian soldiers in Syria further suggest a significant role in the heavy use of advanced drones in combat against Syrian forces—a capability that Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham did not possess in recent years.
