Under more heavy blows, US-Israeli project to fail: Hezbollah MP
Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP, Ibrahim al-Moussawi, talks to Al Mayadeen about the Resistance's successful restoration of its capabilities to a high degree and its readiness for escalation.
Lebanese Member of Parliament, Ibrahim al-Moussawi, from the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc, affirmed that "the phase of inflicting pain on the enemy is part of a comprehensive plan," emphasizing that "the Resistance is firmly rooted in its positions today."
In an interview for Al Mayadeen, al-Moussawi affirmed that the Resistance "has successfully restored its capabilities to a high level" and vowed that "in the coming days, we will hear about [more] difficult events faced by the occupation at the border."
He pointed out that “the weapons that the Resistance unveils will further advance based on a [pre-set] timetable and on-the-ground developments.”
When the Resistance carried out the Binyamina operation, he clarified, "it clearly and precisely chose a target tens of kilometers away."
US-Israeli project bound to failure
Al-Moussawi told Al Mayadeen that the matter now is "up to the battlefield, resilience, and patience," stressing that "the US-Israeli project is doomed to resounding failure."
He added, "We are witnessing US and Israeli efforts to intimidate anyone who supports the Resistance in Lebanon, but the Resistance will continue with the backing of all the honorable people."
Commenting on a statement by the US State Department that it "aims to reduce the influence of anyone who supports Hezbollah," he stressed that this "amounts to a license to kill."
Previously, the US State Department had asserted that "Israel has the right to pursue anyone affiliated with Hezbollah but not to target civilians," adding that it "seeks to see a change in Lebanon’s governance, a decision to be made by the Lebanese themselves."
Battlefield speaks for itself
Al-Moussawi also explained that after three weeks, the Israeli occupation is "trying to exert immense pressure to enter [Lebanon] by a few meters, but the heroes of the Resistance today, with their plans, are resolutely confronting them."
He pointed out that "the occupation resorts to committing massacres in an attempt to increase pressure on the Resistance, but the enemy will continue to be dealt more blows on the battlefield."
Priority is a ceasefire
Regarding the political situation, al-Moussawi stated that Hezbollah has tasked Speaker Nabih Berri with conducting the negotiations, emphasizing that "he is the most capable of managing these talks with Western countries."
He added that "the priority now is for a ceasefire, but if the enemy insists on negotiations under fire, so be it."
On the issue of UNIFIL, al-Moussawi mentioned that "this matter is subject to international negotiations," explaining that "the [Israeli] occupation aims to use these forces as a shield in the field."
Al-Moussawi also acknowledged that "the level and scale of Lebanese displacement during this war are unprecedented," expressing gratitude on behalf of Hezbollah to everyone who is providing refuge for the displaced.
According to al-Moussawi, "The enemy seeks to divide the Lebanese and create discord among them, but these attempts to foment sedition will fail."
He also touched on the diplomatic efforts by Tehran, stating that "Iran has been actively engaged in the region since day one" and that "its committed diplomatic efforts reflect its strong support for Lebanon."
