Under US air cover, SDF abducts 2 citizens in Deir Ezzor
SDF armed groups, supported by US occupation forces' helicopters, raided citizens' houses in the village of Al-Izbah in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor, kidnapping locals.
Today, SDF forces abducted several civilians in the countryside of Deir Ezzor, eastern Syria, with the support of United States occupation helicopters.
Local sources told the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) that armed groups from the SDF raided at dawn today, with the support of US occupation helicopters, the homes of citizens in the village of al-Izbah in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor. SDF militants kidnapped several citizens, transporting them to an unknown destination.
The sources indicated that the gunmen "smashed the doors of some houses, tampered with their contents and seized some of their owners' belongings."
The US-backed SDF has recently doubled the rate of its raids in the areas it occupies in the Syrian Jazira, while abducting dozens of people and hundreds of young men in the countryside of Deir Ezzor, Raqqa, and Al-Hasakah, and forcibly drafting them to its ranks.
Earlier today, SANA reported that "The people of the town of Tel Hamis intercepted a convoy of the US occupation forces that was leaving the town's roundabout in the Syrian countryside of Al-Hasakah."
SANA quoted local sources as saying that the people of the area intercepted a convoy of 5 armored vehicles and a military vehicle belonging to the US occupation forces and threw stones at it, consequently it was forced to retreat and leave the area.
At the same time, the US military base stationed in the city of Al-Shaddadi, south of Al-Hasakah, was bombed with mortars.
Sirens sounded at the base, and the alert level was raised in the vicinity. The shells were preceded by an attack carried out by gunmen on a military post belonging to armed militants loyal to the US army in the town of Dhiban, near Al-Omar field.
