Iran has accused the United States and "Israel" of "holding the United Nations and the UN Security Council hostage", calling on the international community to "immediately free them."

In a post on X, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nasser Kanaani said, "The world community should come up with an emergency plan to get the United Nations and its Security Council that have been taken hostage by the US and the Zionist regime released."

In a statement condemning the continuous raids on al-Shifa Hospital and the growing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, Kanaani said, "International forums sit by and watch with their hands tied", unable to do anything to stop it.

Exposing "Israel's" warmongering in the encircled al-Shifa Hospital, Kanaani added, "History cannot find words and is unable to describe all this blatant and reckless brutality and ferocity before the eyes of the international community."

The Zionist regime’s barbarism and savagery in the #Gaza_Strip continue before the eyes of the whole world, and after 167 days of non-stop war against the #Gaza Strip, the international forums are standing by with their hands tied and have sufficed to expressing their positions… pic.twitter.com/cXXR0WUHb9

Kanaani highlighted how Israeli occupation forces blew up a specialized building that hosts a specialized medical unit in al-Shifa Medical Complex in west Gaza while the IOF continues to lay siege to the complex and attack Palestinians inside for the fourth consecutive day.

Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Gaza reported that the IOF is still targeting any moving body in the complex, stressing that all communications are still cut off, rendering everyone inside the complex unreachable.

Israeli forces execute 50 Palestinians in al-Shifa, including children

Two days ago, Israeli occupation forces committed another atrocious massacre and executed 50 Palestinian citizens in al-Shifa Medical Complex, the Gaza Media Office announced on Tuesday.

The occupation's military also arrested around 200 Palestinians in the area surrounding the complex and al-Shifa Hospital itself, according to the bureau.

It revealed that the Israeli military admitted to committing the massacre, a "clear war crime" and a "blatant violation of international law."

"We received preliminary information regarding the occupation army's execution of numerous children among civilians, patients, and [forcibly] displaced people that were executed."

Hundreds of heavily armed soldiers, police dogs, dozens of tanks, unmanned aerial vehicles, and military helicopters participated in the invasion of al-Shifa Hospital, the Media Office noted. Israeli occupation forces shot at civilians and fired multiple shells and missiles toward the medical complex, which led to martyrdom and wounding of 250 people.
