US claims Iran involved in Yemeni Red Sea operations against 'Israel'
On another note, White House's John Kirby claimed that Yemeni attacks are "a threat to global trade", but their "responsibility falls on Iran, which supplies them with resources."
The United States believes that Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) is actively playing a part in the missile and drone strikes carried out against "Israel" and targeting shipping in the Red Sea, Deputy National Security Adviser Jon Finer said on Thursday.
Speaking at the Aspen Security Forum, Finer stated, "We believe that they are involved in the conduct of these attacks, the planning of them, the execution of them, the authorization of them and ultimately they support them."
In related news, the senior official noted that the US has not imposed a definitive deadline on the occupation entity to conclude its war on Gaza.

According to Finer, if the war were to cease now, the Resistance Hamas would remain a threat, adding that Washington believes several security targets still exist in the southern region of the Gaza Strip.
On another note, the Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the National Security Council in the White House, John Kirby, claimed that Yemeni attacks are a threat to global trade, but "the responsibility falls on Iran, which supplies them with resources."
His statements come shortly after the Yemeni Armed Forces announced targeting the Israeli-owned Unity Explorer and Number 9 vessels in Bab al-Mandab Strait off the coast of Yemen with a naval missile and drone, confirming direct hits on both.
Furthermore, in a separate operation, the Yemeni army announced on Wednesday the launching of a barrage of ballistic missiles at Israeli military targets in Um Al-Rashrash - "Eilat" in support of the people of Gaza.
In a statement, the army's spokesperson General Yahya Saree confirmed that the Yemeni forces "will continue to carry out military operations against the Israeli enemy and implement the decision to prevent Israeli ships from navigating in the Arabian Sea and the Red Sea, in support of the oppressed Palestinian people and until the aggression against our brothers in Gaza comes to a halt."
Meanwhile, in a separate statement, the Minister of Defense in Yemen's Sanaa reiterated that the Red Sea remains a theatre of operations for the Yemeni armed forces against Israeli ships until the war on the Strip ends.
Earlier today, Politico reported that senior officials in the Biden administration agreed that, at present, taking military action against the Yemeni Ansar Allah movement is not the appropriate course of action.
Despite some military officers proposing more robust responses to the attacks in the Red Sea, there is a consensus at the highest levels of the administration that it does not make sense for the US military to engage with Ansar Allah directly, the news website revealed citing US officials.
The report continued that, although military officers responsible for US operations in the Middle East have developed options for responding to Ansar Allah, these options are not actively being advocated at this time.
