US nuke umbrella can't protect Kiev from 'powerful Russian fire': DPRK
The sister of North Korea's leader Kim Jong Un says Zelensky is gambling with the fate of his country and people with his nuclear ambitions that only serve his self interests.
Kim Yo Jong, sister of North Korea's leader Kim Jong Un, considered that the ambitions of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to host American nuclear weapons in his country or produce his own arsenal of nuclear weapons is part of his "authorities' sinister political plot."
Her comments came in response to an online petition published on Zenelsky's website last Thursday calling to “deploy US nuclear weapons on Ukrainian territory or turn Ukraine into a state with its own nuclear weapons.”
Zelensky's desires are "a manifestation of his very dangerous political ambition to prolong his remaining days at any cost by gambling with the destiny of his country and people," she said according to state news agency KCNA.

The petition is “a plausible veil of the public’s expression of will, but it’s not hard to guess that it is a product of the Zelensky authorities’ sinister political plot,” she continued.
Recalling Zelensky's requests to turn Ukraine into a nuclear state at the Munich Security Conference, which triggered Moscow to respond by starting its military operation, Kim said he had made wrong uncalculated assumptions.
“If the Zelenskiy authorities calculated that they can avoid the powerful fire of Russia only when they go under the US nuclear umbrella, which had already been perforated, they are going to the wrong path, the last path."
The requests of the Ukrainian President were not limited to deploying US nuclear weapons in Ukraine before the start of the war, but they also included calls, after the beginning of the war, for the NATO and the entire international community to reconsider how to respond to Russia's possible use of nuclear weapons and carry out nuclear preemptive strikes.

When I first read about that, I thought it was a hoax or taken out of context, but no, that's exactly what he's saying. Calling for a nuclear first strike against Russia. https://t.co/0D0XNuvonX pic.twitter.com/6HabXXTGyh

Russian President Vladimir Putin responded then to the threats of a nuclear preemptive strike against Russia by stressing that those who attempt to blackmail his country with nuclear weapons will find it coming back to bite them.
