US occupation base in Deir Ezzor comes under fire: Sources
A field source confirmed to Al Mayadeen that the US-occupied al-Omar oil field base was shelled with five rockets in the Deir Ezzor countryside in Syria.
A field source confirmed to Al Mayadeen that the US occupation base at the al-Omar oil field in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, Syria, was shelled with five rockets on Sunday evening. Explosions have been reported inside the base.
The source also noted intensive American warplane activity over the military base, reaching the outskirts of the al-Mayadin city in eastern Deir Ezzor.
Al Mayadeen’s correspondent further reported that "the headquarters of the American occupation in the Green Village, within the al-Omar oil field base in the east, was hit by rocket fire."
Additionally, sirens were heard at the American base in the Conoco gas field and the al-Omar oil field in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, Syria.
Earlier, late in October, Al Mayadeen Net sources reported that Resistance factions launched a drone attack on the al-Omar oil field base, the largest US military occupation base in Syria.
The sources indicated that loud sounds were heard emanating from within the international coalition base, prompting a heightened state of alert among the soldiers stationed there.
This comes shortly after a US occupation base in al-Tanf, an area on the Syrian-Jordanian-Iraqi tri-border, was attacked a day earlier, according to Al Mayadeen's sources.
