US occupation forces kill fleeing civilian during raid in Syria: SANA
American occupation forces in Syria open fire on civilians in Al-Hasakah while conducting an airdrop operation.
One civilian was killed and others injured by US occupation forces during an airdrop this morning in the southern countryside of Al-Hasakah along the Syrian-Iraqi border, Syrian news agency SANA reported on Sunday.
Local sources told the state agency that the US occupation planes carried out a massive airdrop operation today, supported by their local proxies - Kurdish SDF militants - in the village of Salham, southeast of Al-Shadadi.

The American soldiers indiscriminately opened fire on the village's residents who were attempting to escape and the agricultural lands surrounding the operation area. The random shooting resulted in the killing of one of the fleeing civilians and the injury of others, SANA added citing witnesses.
Such illegal military operations inside Syria and the killing of civilians is one of the recurrent acts of the American occupying forces. Besides being an occupation that backs armed groups for its own operations and agenda in the region, the US forces continue to steal Syrian oil by smuggling it from their bases in Syria to their bases in Iraq.
Convoys of tens of vehicles, including tankers loaded with stolen oil from oil fields occupied by US forces in Syria, are frequently seen crossing toward northern Iraq, in addition to trucks loaded with military equipment.

The most recent theft of Syrian resources carried out by Americans was recorded earlier this month, as SANA reported on June 4 that the US occupation forces looted a batch of Syrian oil and smuggled them to their bases in Iraq.
A convoy belonging to the US military, consisting of 45 tankers loaded with stolen Syrian oil, left from the illegitimate Al-Mahmoudiyah crossing and entered Iraqi territory, the state television said.
It is noteworthy that in August 2022, the Syrian Oil Ministry revealed that the US occupation forces are looting the majority of Syria's oil production, knowing that the daily production of the eastern oil fields is 80.3 thousand barrels.
In December of 2022, Syria's foreign ministry said the US occupation forces and their affiliated military groups' systematic lootings of Syrian wealth amounted to direct losses valued at $25.9 billion and indirect losses valued at over $86 billion.
