The US Capitol Police confirmed today, Thursday, that they found a bomb inside a suspicious truck near the Library of Congress in Washington, DC.
The Capitol Police posted on Twitter that they were investigating an actual bomb threat.

Earlier, the Associated Press quoted its sources as saying that "the Capitol Police are investigating a report about the presence of explosives on the truck."
Police are asking civilians to stay away from the suspicious truck until further information is provided.

Two law enforcement officials said that the area around the Capitol is clear, noting that the Congress is on recess this week.
