US Secret Service to cooperate in Trump assassination attempt probes
The FBI has classified the incident, which occurred on Saturday at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania, as an assassination attempt.
The US Secret Service announced on Monday its full cooperation with the investigations launched by President Joe Biden and members of Congress.
This comes after agents failed to prevent a gunman from shooting and injuring former President Donald Trump at a rally over the weekend.
The FBI has classified the incident, which occurred on Saturday at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania, as an assassination attempt.
In response, President Biden ordered an independent review on Sunday, while Republican lawmakers promised swift and thorough investigations.

Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle, in her first major statement since the shooting, revealed that the agency is ramping up security measures for Trump, who is a Republican presidential candidate, and for the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee starting on Monday.
"I am confident in the security plan our Secret Service RNC coordinator and our partners have put in place, which we have reviewed and strengthened in the wake of Saturday's shooting," Cheatle stated.
She also mentioned that adjustments have been made to Trump's security detail to ensure his safety throughout the convention and the rest of the campaign.
Trump reported that a bullet grazed his ear during the rally but assured that he is in good health.
He traveled to Milwaukee on Sunday and is expected to receive his party's formal nomination later this week.
The shooting tragically resulted in the death of a rally attendee.
