US Sen. Warren says 'Israel' could be found guilty of genocide in ICJ
When asked about the ICJ's legal proceedings in "Israel's" genocide case, US Senator Warren said evidence could prove "Israel" was committing genocide in Gaza.
Last week, Senator Elizabeth Warren said "Israel" could be found guilty of genocide by international officials during an event at a mosque.
While taking questions from her audience at the Islamic Center of Boston in Wayland, Warren was asked about the legal proceedings against "Israel" at the International Court of Justice, and was specifically asked to share her own opinion, Politico reported.
The Massachusetts Democrat responded, saying, “If you want to do it as an application of law, I believe that they’ll find that it is genocide, and they have ample evidence to do so.”
While a spokesperson for Warren confirmed her remark, it was also claimed that the senator was only sharing what the ICJ might conclude, rather than her personal opinion and input.

Warren also noted that "Israel's" military conduct was wrong, saying “It is wrong to starve children within a civilian population in order to try to bend to your will. It is wrong to drop 2000-pound bombs, in densely populated civilian areas.”

A shift in attitude
On October 7, in the light of Hamas' operation, Warren voiced her support for "Israel". However, as the Israeli response rapidly transcended to a full-scale genocide, Warren's supporters have urged the politician to advocate for a ceasefire in Gaza and the stop of US military aid of the occupation.
Since then, Warren has gradually increased her criticism of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his actions in Gaza.
In January, she called for the end of uncapped military aid to "Israel" following Biden's series of approvals that gave the occupation the greenlight to kill civilians en masse.
Warren explicitly condemned the Biden administration's policy of unrestricted military aid to "Israel", saying, "The US cannot write a blank check for a right-wing government that has demonstrated an appalling disregard for Palestinian lives," while advocating for the use of the US influence to establish peace between all parties.
Bernie Sanders, alongside Warren and other high-influence Democrats, has also denounced the US government's conduct and accused it of being complicit in the Israeli genocide happening in Gaza.
